The view from the house is spectacular !!! -
Beautiful 3100 sf private home on Atlantic side of Eleuthera Island, with beautiful wrap around porches that provide a breathtaking view of Winding Bay. Open floor plan includes large living area with modern entertainment system (44" HDTV, DVDs, CD library), open, airy kitchen with all of the amenities, small office with high speed internet and large end to end windows that open up onto the back porch.
The large master bedroom exists on the ground floor with king size bed and large private bathroom. Two separate bedrooms on the 2nd floor each have their own private bathroom and each open up onto the 2nd floor sun deck, perfect for sunbathing or stargazing. Housekeeping available on M,W,F. One upstairs bedroom has twin beds, the other, a queen size bed.
A sandy pathway leads to Point O'Vue's 250 feet of private beach, with a cabana, beach chairs and two kayaks to enjoy. On your way to the beach you will pass a hammock for long afternoons of reading and/or relaxing. Point O' Vue is a wonderful place for all ages. The beach is ideal, with lots of sand for castle-building and warm, crystal clear water, with sandy, shallow entry for swimming. A charcoal grill is available for cookouts.
Come see why the owners, Marty & Lynnie have been coming to Eleuthera for years. They can assist with knowledge of beaches to explore, restaurants to visit and other activities (snorkeling, diving, fishing). There is plenty to do and see in laid-back Eleuthera. | Amenities: The main living area of the house is open-plan, with 25' cathedral ceilings and sliding glass doors to both the front and back verandah. It is air conditioned. The living room has plenty of seating, and an entertainment center with satellite TV, VCR and CD player, games and CDs. The well-equipped kitchen offers all the amenities. A small study with phone and fax, a three-piece bathroom with shower, and a laundry room with washer and dryer are also located on the ground floor.
The master bedroom, with king-sized bed is located on the ground floor, with sliding doors to the front verandah. Two large bedrooms, each with two twin beds, are located on the second floor. Each bedroom has a private 4-piece bathroom and dressing/storage area, and outside access to verandah or deck. The bedrooms are equipped with both ceiling fans and air conditioners, and all bedding and towels are provided. |
| Entertainment: On both the Atlantic and Carribean lie countless unspoiled, natural beaches that are waiting to be discovered. Take a long walk at low tide, relax in the sun, or partake in shelling and snorkeling on shallow reefs off shore. Don't miss the spectactular Lighthouse Beach at low tide or Ten Bay Beach at sunset.
Lighthouse Beach is included on some "ten best beaches in the world" lists and it is well worth the effort required to get there. The last few miles to the beach are on an unpaved dirt road and while a four-wheel drive vehicle would no doubt make the trip easier, it can be done (with care) in a car or van. Chances are, once you get there, as with so many of the beaches on Eleuthera, you'll have this breathtaking beach entirely to yourself!
Goulding's Cay, just north of Gregory Town is an enchantingly lovely beach with a small offshore island on the Carribean side of the island, perfect for days when it's windy on the Atlantic side.
Surfer's Beach on the Atlantic side of the island, two miles south of Gregory Town is a stretch of powdery white sand offering the best surfing in the Bahamas. The (former) Club Med beach is a stunningly beautiful stretch of sand, close to Governor's Harbor. |

Dear Erbaughs, What a fabulous vacation! My dream came true. I wanted to bring my daughters to Eleuthera to experience the raw beauty of the island.
